  • AFTER SCHOOL CARE / SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR (PART TIME) Job Description:

    We are looking for energetic, outgoing, upbeat people who like to work with children. Employees will be required to assist with planning and implementing activities geared toward school-aged children.

    To be eligible for hire, potential employees:

    • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and from 11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Broward County Early Release Days.
    • Summer Camp Counselors must be available for a minimum of a 4-hour shift between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to provide a copy
    • Must clear a federal and local background check (School Board and Federal Fingerprinting)
    • Must complete 45 hours of Child Care Courses / Training within 1 year of employment
    • Must complete CPR / First Aid Training with Sunshine within 30 days of employment
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English Language.
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must be a TEAM player and enjoy working with children.

    Pay: $15.00 per hour


  • AFTER SCHOOL CARE SITE MANAGER (PART TIME)

    Sunshine Child Programs is looking for leaders who can motivate staff to perform above expectations, meet the needs of Sunshine’s customers, and have a true love for working with children.

    To be eligible for hire, potential employees:

    • Must have strong communication skills
    • Must uphold a professional appearance
    • Must have the ability to plan activities for school-age children
    • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 1:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and from 11:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Broward County Early Release Days.
    • Must be available for 1 hour on the first day of each week for an administrative meeting in our Corporate Office
    • Must have at least 2 years of experience working hands-on with school-age children
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to provide a copy
    • Must clear a federal and local background check (School Board and Federal Fingerprinting)
    • Must HAVE 45 hours of Child Care Courses / Training within 1 year of employment
    • Must complete CPR / First Aid Training with Sunshine within 30 days of employment
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English Language
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must be a TEAM player and enjoy working with children.

    Pay: $18.00 per hour


  • AFTER SCHOOL CARE / SUMMER CAMP CAMPUS MONITOR (PART-TIME)

    To assist in the continuous monitoring of a school campus during before and/or after school care hours. The safety and security of staff and students is the main priority. This position does not have direct student supervisory responsibilities.

    To be eligible for hire, potential employees:

    • Must uphold a professional appearance
    • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 1:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and from 11:15 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Broward County Early Release Days.
    • If applying for a Before Care position, you must be reliable. Hours vary per location.
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
    • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and be able to provide a copy
    • Must clear a federal and local background check (School Board and Federal Fingerprinting)
    • Must HAVE 45 hours of Child Care Courses / Training within 1 year of employment
    • Must complete CPR / First Aid Training with Sunshine within 30 days of employment
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English Language
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must be a TEAM player and enjoy working with children.

    Campus Monitor Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Carry two-way walkie-talkie at all times to maintain contact with the Site Manager
    • Visually observe student behavior during aftercare hours on school property
    • Report serious disturbances and/or safety and security issues to the site administration
    • Visually monitor campus buildings, parking lots, and outside areas of the school
    • Physically patrol and monitor all school buildings and outside areas to ensure doors are locked and gates are locked at all times
    • Monitor parking lots and student gathering areas before, during, and after program hours.
    • Ensure adherence to safety rules and procedures
    • Assist with monitoring all required safety drills
    • Dress and act appropriately
    • Stop and question any persons on campus that is not Sunshine or school personnel
    • Interact effectively with children, parents, and/or guardians.

    Pay: $15.00 per hour


  • AFTER SCHOOL CARE FRONT DESK CLERK (PART TIME)Sunshine Child Programs is looking for leaders that can be the face of the After School Care program. Meet and Greet our families and ensure the safety and security of our students.

    To be eligible for hire, potential employees:

    • Must have strong organizational and communication skills
    • Must uphold a professional appearance
    • Must have the ability to plan activities for school age children
    • Must be available to work Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and from 11:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Broward County Early Release Days.
